Actress Nicola Peltz has been soaking up the Florida sun as the festive season continues, choosing to spend the holidays with her billionaire family in Miami rather than with her in-laws, the Beckhams.
A Miami Christmas Away from the Beckhams
The 30-year-old shared a photo of herself relaxing on a sun lounger at her family's £76 million estate on Tuesday, donning oversized shades, black hotpants, and a loose top. The post, which her husband Brooklyn Beckham, 26, liked, came without a caption but followed a weekend where she expressed how much she "loved being home" after wrapping filming for the thriller Pretty Ugly.
This choice of location confirms that both Nicola and Brooklyn decided to snub the traditional Beckham family Christmas in the Cotswolds this year, opting to remain in the United States instead. The move comes amid a widely reported and bitter family feud that has seen a significant rift develop between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, as well as his siblings.
United Front and Mounting Backlash
The couple have consistently presented a united front. Just a day before the Miami snap, Nicola posted an image of the pair snuggled on a sofa in matching grey outfits, laughing together. Brooklyn commented "my sweetie pie," while Nicola wrote, "We didn't plan our outfits." However, the comment section was flooded with pleas from fans urging Brooklyn to reconcile with his family, with messages like "Call your parents, life is too short" and "Never forget where you came from."
The feud appears to have escalated to the point where Brooklyn has blocked his entire family on social media. His younger brother Cruz, 20, recently clarified that their parents "woke up blocked," countering reports that David and Victoria had unfollowed their son first.
Missed Milestones and Pointed Posts
The rift has led to the couple's absence from numerous key Beckham family events over the past year. Most notably, Brooklyn was absent from the wedding of Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty, which the rest of his family attended. This snub followed the initial explosion of the row when Brooklyn missed his father David's 50th birthday party.
While his family celebrated the UK wedding, Brooklyn shared a Grinch-themed post from Los Angeles. Hours later, Nicola appeared to post her own thoughts on the situation, sharing a quote from the late Brigitte Bardot that read: "If I could do anything about the way people behave towards each other, I would, but since I can't I'll stick to the animals."
Reports suggest that Brooklyn is waiting for an apology from his parents directed at Nicola. A source claimed this week that David and Victoria "targeted Nicola" during a "long briefing war" and must acknowledge the pain caused if they wish to repair the relationship.
The couple, with Brooklyn declaring his wife is "his everything," seem firmly entrenched with Nicola's family for now, leaving the prospect of a Beckham family reconciliation uncertain as the new year begins.
