North West's Instagram Vanishes After 3 Weeks Amid Family Debate
North West's Instagram account disappears after debut

The solo Instagram account belonging to North West, the 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has mysteriously vanished from the platform. The profile disappeared less than three weeks after the pre-teen made her much-discussed social media debut.

A Sudden Disappearance Online

The Daily Mail has confirmed the account, launched under North's own name late last month, now shows a 'page isn't available' message when searched. This notification typically indicates an account has been either deactivated by the user or removed by Instagram. It remains unclear who initiated the takedown—whether it was North herself, one of her parents, or action taken by the social media platform. Representatives for the family have so far not clarified the decision.

North's quiet entrance to Instagram featured a single, stylised introductory post. The image was a carefully blurred photograph of the youngster, suggesting a managed rollout. The account's biography explicitly noted it was 'managed by parents,' hinting at the oversight behind the scenes.

A Long-Standing Family Disagreement

The issue of North's online presence has been a known point of contention between her mother, Kim Kardashian, 45, and her father, Kanye West, 48. West has previously voiced strong opposition to his children using social media. In a 2022 clip that resurfaced online last October, the rapper stated he had told Kardashian he did not want their children on such platforms, emphatically adding, 'I'm not allowing my daughter to be used by TikTok.'

The account's sudden disappearance follows recent online chatter and backlash focused on North's appearance, including speculation over visible piercings. However, no official reason has been linked to the profile's removal.

Navigating Motherhood in the Public Eye

Kim Kardashian has recently spoken about the challenges of parenting a pre-teen, especially under global scrutiny. Last year, she faced criticism for allowing North to wear a corset during an outing in Rome. While not addressing that specific backlash at the time, Kardashian later explained her approach on the 'Call Her Daddy' podcast.

'It's really hard and it's really interesting because all the kids are wearing the same things,' she said. 'But then my daughter tries to wear it and then I'm like, "OK we're never wearing that again". Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.'

Kardashian described North as a 'tomboy' who was experimenting with style to match her friends. She admitted to 'learning at the same time' as a mother and emphasised her daughter's confidence. Kardashian recalled North's response to online discourse about her bright blue hair, with the 12-year-old saying, 'I probably wouldn't be hanging out with those people. Like if you saw what they look like and what they're wearing!'

Kardashian urged the public to show grace, stating, 'I just urge everyone to not be judgmental and to have grace on single moms trying to figure it all out with a pre-teen. It's a lot.' The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Kim Kardashian for comment regarding the Instagram account's deletion but has not yet received a response.
