Love Is Blind Star Giannina Gibelli Unveils Pre-Wedding Cosmetic Treatment
Giannina Gibelli, who rose to fame on the inaugural season of the hit reality series Love Is Blind, has publicly disclosed the cosmetic procedure she underwent in preparation for her upcoming wedding. The 33-year-old reality star is set to marry fellow television personality Blake Horstmann, who first gained public attention on The Bachelorette.
Sculptra: The 'Liquid Facelift' Bridal Beauty Secret
In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Gibelli revealed that one of her key bridal beauty enhancements was the injectable treatment Sculptra, which she enthusiastically described as a 'liquid facelift'. Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid dermal filler designed to smooth wrinkles and tighten skin by stimulating collagen production. This FDA-approved treatment is not only used for facial rejuvenation but also for non-surgical procedures such as breast enlargements and butt lifts.
'I did Sculptra - so good,' Gibelli exclaimed, praising the injection as 'the one thing that actually gets better over time'. She also admitted to using 'very light' Botox as part of her pre-wedding regimen. Despite these professional treatments, Gibelli emphasized that her daily skincare routine remains straightforward, stating: 'I found the right retinol, I found the right toner, I found the right things that make my skin glow.'
From Reality TV Romance to Wedding Bells
Gibelli, whose full name includes the middle name Milady, became a household name in 2020 through Love Is Blind, a show where couples form connections without seeing each other and often propose before meeting in person. Her journey on the program was dramatic, notably being left at the altar by her tearful fiancé Damian Powers, which led to her fleeing the ceremony in her wedding dress. Although they briefly dated afterward, they ultimately parted ways in 2021.
In 2022, Gibelli began her current relationship with Blake Horstmann, who had previously been the runner-up on season 14 of The Bachelorette in 2018, where he competed for publicist Becca Kufrin's affection. The couple welcomed their son, Heath Orion, on Good Friday in 2024 and got engaged that October during a romantic holiday in Madrid.
Wedding Planning and Personal Reflections
Reflecting on her engagement, Gibelli remarked in a recent interview with Us Weekly in Palm Springs: 'I know, it feels like we’ve been engaged forever. That was by design.' She explained that her experience on Love Is Blind influenced her desire for a longer engagement, saying: 'It was the only thing that I’ve kind of taken away with my Love is Blind experience,' while assuring that she is 'not traumatized by it at all'.
Gibelli, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, confirmed that she and Horstmann have reassured their families that the wedding date is approaching. She detailed her meticulous planning process: 'I wanted to just be really meticulous with my venue, and I wanted to have an engagement longer than five weeks. And I think it’s been fantastic and great, but I am ready to call him my husband, for sure.'
The couple has progressed sufficiently in their preparations that Gibelli has already celebrated her bachelorette party in Amsterdam, which she described as having a 'completely different vibe' compared to the upcoming wedding. However, she acknowledged some stress due to the logistical challenges of a destination wedding: 'We’re doing well with the planning. We’re in a good spot. I’m starting to get stressed out a little, I’ll be honest. I’m starting to stress because it is a destination wedding. There’s a lot involved logistically, but it’s been good. We’re in a good place.'
