Costeen Hatzi Reveals 51kg Low Weight After Kyrgios Split
Kyrgios' Ex Costeen Hatzi Reveals 51kg Weight Struggle

Costeen Hatzi, the former partner of tennis star Nick Kyrgios, has bravely disclosed details of a difficult personal period, revealing she dropped to her lowest ever weight of 51kg six months ago.

A Difficult Chapter and Physical Toll

In a candid post on Instagram, the 26-year-old explained that this significant weight loss was not a result of healthy habits but was driven by stress and a 'really tough chapter' in her life. She chose to keep much of her struggle private at the time to focus on her own healing process.

'Six months ago I was the smallest I'd ever been - 51kg - not from health but from stress and a really tough chapter,' Hatzi wrote. 'I kept a lot private while I focused on healing.'

The Road to Recovery and Healthy Habits

Detailing her journey back to wellbeing, Hatzi described how she made a conscious decision to prioritise herself. Her recovery strategy involved a complete lifestyle overhaul, focusing on proper nutrition, consistent weightlifting, and cultivating a positive work environment.

She also emphasised the importance of leaning on her close circle, surrounding herself with best friends and family for support during this transitional phase.

'I put myself first again: eating properly, lifting consistently, focusing on my work and surrounding myself with best friends and family,' she shared.

Life After a Public Breakup

This revelation follows Hatzi's recent comments about her highly publicised split from the tennis star, Nick Kyrgios, and the subsequent emotional recovery she has undergone since their separation.

In an interview with News Corp in August, she reflected on the dynamic of their relationship, revealing the extent of her support for Kyrgios' career. 'I was fully supportive,' she stated. 'I went to all the tournaments. I was doing everything behind the scenes – his washing, his cooking … everything.'

Despite the relationship's end, she expressed no regrets, explaining she was 'happy to, because I loved him and we had a great relationship at the time.'

Now, Hatzi is embracing her independence and a new chapter. 'It's different now. I have all this time for myself. I'm in a really reflective but motivated place,' she said, acknowledging that while the adjustment was significant, she was mentally prepared for it.

She described the past year as a 'transition period,' admitting that not every day is perfect, but maintaining a 'headstrong' attitude and a 'positive outlook on life.'

Costeen and Nick's relationship began in late 2021, with Kyrgios making their romance official on Instagram in December of that year. She quickly became a familiar presence at his matches, notably supporting him during the 2022 Australian Open. Their partnership remained in the public eye until rumours of tension emerged in early 2023, culminating in Hatzi confirming their split by mid-2024.

Concluding her heartfelt Instagram message, Hatzi offered words of encouragement to others facing their own challenges: 'Now I'm feeling and looking the best I've felt in a long time and I'm finally in a place of peace and clarity. If you're going through it, time really does heal - keep moving forward and building healthy habits.'
