Reality television star and Good American founder Khloe Kardashian has joyfully expanded her family this festive season, fulfilling a long-held personal dream. The 41-year-old introduced a new black Labrador retriever puppy, named Peppermint, to her Instagram followers on Christmas morning.
A Dream Fulfilled and a Tribute Remembered
In an emotional post, Khloe gushed about the new arrival, writing, "I am going to cry she’s the best in the world." She credited Big Creek Labradors, a breeder based in Indiana, for the newest member of her household. While her children—seven-year-old True and three-year-old Tatum—had been asking for a puppy for Christmas, the choice of a black lab carries profound sentimental weight for their mother.
Khloe previously owned a beloved black lab named Gabbana, who died in 2018 at the age of fourteen. Following that loss, she penned a heartfelt tribute, calling Gabbana her "first child" and "companion." The arrival of Peppermint marks a poignant new chapter, blending the excitement of her children's wishes with the memory of a cherished past pet.
A More Intimate Kardashian Christmas Celebration
The puppy reveal came as part of what Khloe described as a more "intimate" holiday gathering for the famous family. In footage shared on Wednesday night, she explained that after the large-scale celebration for her mother Kris Jenner's recent 70th birthday, they opted for a low-key, family-only Christmas Eve.
"We are not doing a big Christmas Eve party this year... we just wanted something more intimate," she stated, while still showcasing a glamorous, diamond-dripping ensemble. This follows a similar scaled-back approach from the family's festivities in 2023.
Family Moments and Festive Trends
Khloe's social media also offered glimpses of other cherished holiday moments. She shared a sweet photo of True and Tatum posing with Santa Claus. In a humorous clip, her son Tatum was seen playfully running away from the camera, while her daughter True and niece Dream happily showcased their matching red and white party dresses.
The girls even sneakily incorporated the popular '6-7' social media trend into their video, much to Khloe's amused admonishment. The reality star affectionately referred to the pair as "little candy canes," capturing the playful and stylish spirit of the family's Christmas celebrations, which balanced heartfelt new beginnings with cherished traditions.
