Television host Kelly Ripa has given her fans an exclusive festive tour of her luxury New York City apartment, showcasing her stunning Christmas decorations. The 55-year-old star, who co-hosts Live with Kelly and Mark with her husband Mark Consuelos, posted images and a video from their shared home, offering a glimpse into their holiday celebrations.
A Festive Spectacle in Manhattan
The centrepiece of the display is a massive Christmas tree adorned with multicoloured ornaments and a traditional red tree skirt. Ripa filmed the tree at night with the curtains drawn back, allowing the city lights to complement the festive glow. The living room also featured fresh green garland and a collection of classic nutcrackers on display.
Adding a charming touch, a large and detailed gingerbread house, decorated with red and white candies and featuring a cosy interior light, was prominently shown. Captioning her festive post, the former soap opera actress wrote: 'A Christmas carousel from here, there and everywhere. Happy Holidays from our family to yours!' The post garnered attention from fellow celebrities, including Hilaria Baldwin and actor Robert Wagner.
Recalling the 'Best Thanksgiving Ever' in London
This festive reveal comes shortly after Ripa and Consuelos enjoyed what she described as their 'best Thanksgiving ever' in London. The couple travelled to the UK capital to visit their 24-year-old daughter, Lola, over the holiday period.
On their talk show, Kelly enthusiastically recounted the experience: 'I'm going to brag. We had the best Thanksgiving ever. We got out of town. We went to London to visit our daughter. And we went to a hotel for Thanksgiving.' She highlighted the luxury of not having to cook, stating, 'the dinner just arrived. And then when it was done, it was cleared away.' She concluded, 'And guess what? It was the greatest Thanksgiving of our lives.'
Early Marriage Struggles with Jealousy
In a recent podcast appearance, Kelly Ripa also opened up about the early challenges in her marriage to Mark Consuelos, which began in 1996. She revealed that Mark was 'insanely jealous' during their initial years together, a trait she found difficult to manage.
'It's very hard being married to somebody who is jealous,' she admitted. To illustrate, she shared an anecdote from their first week as a married couple. While dining at an Italian restaurant, an elderly waiter referred to her as 'principessa' (princess). 'I thought it was so cute... and I gave him my order in a very smiley way,' Ripa recalled. This innocent interaction, however, sparked a major argument with Consuelos at the time. She noted that this jealous behaviour has since changed significantly over the course of their long-term relationship.
