Katie Price's Emotional Family Christmas Amid Mum's Health Battle
Katie Price's family Christmas with Harvey and mum Amy

Former glamour model Katie Price has been cherishing precious family moments over the festive season, sharing a heartwarming glimpse into her celebrations with her eldest son, Harvey, and her mother, Amy.

Family Festivities Captured on Camera

Katie, 47, was seen beaming with joy in a sweet snapshot shared by her sister, Sophie, on Instagram Stories. The image captured a casual family gathering at the dinner table as they prepared to ring in the new year.

The mother-of-five was joined by her 22-year-old son Harvey, her mother Amy, and her stepfather, Paul. In the photo, Katie sported an oversized sweatshirt and a beige woolly hat, while Harvey smiled for the camera wearing a burgundy hoodie and his signature headphones.

A Life-Changing Gift for Mum Amy

The family celebration comes after Katie provided an emotional update concerning her mother's ongoing health struggle. Amy Price, 73, was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in 2017, a terminal lung disease that causes scarring of the lung tissue and severely impacts breathing and mobility.

In a move that moved fans to tears, Katie revealed on her YouTube vlog that she had gifted her mum a mobility scooter for Christmas to help restore some of her independence. Footage showed Katie giving her mother a driving lesson, demonstrating how to manoeuvre the vehicle forwards and backwards.

"I'm going to have some fun on this. I think it opens up..." an emotional Amy said after receiving the present. Katie reassured her mum, explaining that the scooter could cover 12.5 miles on a full charge, allowing Amy to visit places like the beach in the summer.

Tears of Happiness and Newfound Independence

The thoughtful gift, which also included a pair of furry gloves to keep Amy's hands warm, overwhelmed the grandmother with emotion. Amy was brought to tears as she thanked her daughter for the life-changing present.

Katie reflected on the moment, stating, "She's got a new lease of life. They are good, happy tears. And I'm happy because she's got more independence." She emphasised that her mother, who deserved this gift the most, was the happiest person this Christmas.

This festive period has highlighted the close-knit bond within the Price family, as they support Amy through her health challenges while creating joyful memories together.
