Katie Price Advised to Miss Family Easter Gathering Amid Marriage Worries
Katie Price was reportedly advised against attending a family party over the Easter weekend, as growing concerns surround her marriage to Dubai businessman Lee Andrews. The former glamour model tied the knot with Andrews in January, but since then, allegations have emerged that he is a scammer targeting her finances.
Family Tensions Escalate on Podcast
During a recent recording of The Katie Price Show, Katie revealed she was told there wasn't enough room for her at the family gathering at her mother Amy's house. She explained that her brother decided to go at the last minute, and it was suggested it would be too loud for her son Harvey.
Katie expressed frustration, telling listeners, "So I made my mother and that feel guilty - 'You didn't want me there!' Mum has been messaging me, 'I'm sorry', all of this." Her sister Sophie questioned if it was fair to make their mother feel guilty, to which Katie retorted, "Yeah - do you think it's fair for me and Harvey not to come over on Easter Sunday?"
Ongoing Fears Over Andrews' Background
Sources indicate that fears from friends, fans, and family have taken the shine off Katie's relationship. Andrews has been accused of scamming multiple women, and he reportedly spent three weeks in October last year, which he denied. Despite the ongoing conflict in the United Arab Emirates due to the Iran war, Katie has been visiting Andrews in Dubai, sharing affectionate photos online.
However, Katie has clarified she will not move to the UAE permanently, citing her family and children in the UK. In a deleted YouTube video, she stated, "I don't know why people think I'm moving to Dubai. My family's here. The husband is there, but the husband come here and I can go to Dubai when I can."
Podcast Dynamics Highlight Strain
The sisters' podcast has further highlighted the strain, with Sophie refusing to comment on Katie's marriage and calling her a "k***head" during an episode. Katie laughed off references to her marriage being like Married At First Sight, but Sophie's muted responses and head-shaking suggest underlying tensions.
A source added to The Sun that the Iran war's impact on Dubai made Katie realize how far she was from home, missing her kids and ruling out a permanent move. While Katie remains committed to Andrews, her primary concern is her children, and the long-term viability of the relationship is unclear.
Katie had previously hinted at moving to Dubai more regularly, mentioning in a vlog the need to re-evaluate her life with her many animals. Despite this, she insists on staying in the UK, with family loyalty at the forefront of her decisions.
