Rapper Kanye West has taken to social media to shower his current wife, Bianca Censori, with public praise, just weeks after a quiet Christmas holiday reunion with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. The 48-year-old music mogul shared images of Censori's recent performance art installation on his Instagram, calling himself "so proud of my wife."
A Feminist Spectacle in Seoul
The post gushing over Censori, 30, centres on her controversial art exhibition, BIO POP (THE ORIGIN), which debuted in Seoul earlier this month. The installation featured mannequins of women contorted into various shapes while entangled with furniture, bearing a striking resemblance to Censori herself.
During the spectacle, Censori made an entrance in a skintight wine-red catsuit, proceeded to bake a cake, and then wheeled it around on a trolley amidst the sculptures. The show, described by some participants as "an act of repossession," was interpreted as Censori reclaiming unauthorised clones of her image. West linked to an Architectural Digest Middle East article that characterised the exhibition as a feminist critique.
Christmas Reunion Marks a Thaw in Relations
This public support for his wife comes on the heels of a significant development in West's relationship with his ex. According to reports from TMZ, West and Kardashian put aside their long-running differences to spend the Christmas holidays together as a family with their four children.
Sources described the atmosphere as cordial and focused on their kids: North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. Insiders indicated this marked a notable shift, with the former couple being respectful and actively working to improve their co-parenting relationship after years of public tension and estrangement.
Progress Amid Past Struggles
The holiday gathering stands in stark contrast to Kardashian's recent candid admissions about the strain of co-parenting. On her reality show, The Kardashians, she confessed to finding it "frustrating" when West questions her "character as a mom" and admitted the situation sometimes pushes her to the brink.
However, sources suggest West has been "working on himself" and reflecting on his past behaviour, including his widely condemned antisemitic remarks. He has also reportedly become more supportive of his daughter North's social media presence and creative endeavours, embracing her individuality.
While Kardashian filed for divorce in February 2021, she has consistently stated she never interferes with West's relationship with their children. Despite the difficulties, her stated priority remains providing stability, saying her "only focus and job" is to stay strong as the more consistent parent.
