Junior Andre has spoken out about forging his own path in the music industry, naming Jorja Smith and Joyner Lucas as his dream collaborators. The 20-year-old singer, son of pop star Peter Andre and Katie Price, signed a major record deal with Columbia Records at 16 and is now focused on building his career.
Speaking at the launch of men's mental health charity M.A.T.E in London, Junior said: 'I'm honestly so open. There are so many artists I would love to collab with. Maybe Jorja Smith on a little vibe – she's got a great voice. Joyner Lucas… he's sick.' He makes music daily, with his creative process shaped by his mood, sometimes tapping into mental health themes or summer vibes.
Junior also discussed his acting role alongside his father in the upcoming musical 'Finding My Voice'. He emphasised the importance of staying humble: 'Always remain grounded, remember where you come from, be nice to people, man. Kindness goes a long way.'
A vocal advocate for mental health, particularly among young men, Junior urged them to open up emotionally. 'Your mental health is everything. In fact, it's more important than your physical health,' he said. 'Being a man is being able to be open, speaking about your emotions.'
