Julia Morris Stuns with Slim Figure at I'm A Celebrity Premiere
Julia Morris' Slim Figure Stuns at I'm A Celebrity Launch

Television presenter Julia Morris caused a stir with her dramatically slimmed-down appearance at the Australian premiere of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on Sunday night.

A Confident Premiere Night Appearance

The 57-year-old veteran host looked sensational as she posed for promotional photographs alongside her younger co-host, Robert Irwin. Morris showcased her slender frame in a vibrant hot pink one-shoulder gown, which she paired unconventionally with white sneakers. She struck a confident pose on a raised wooden walkway surrounded by lush jungle greenery, perfectly setting the scene for the reality show's launch.

In another striking image from the event, the comedian slipped into a bold chartreuse off-the-shoulder dress, once again styled with casual sneakers. She beamed broadly beside Irwin, 22, who opted for a relaxed cream short-sleeve shirt and trousers for the occasion.

New Series Line-Up and Hosting History

The new series, which airs on Channel Ten, features a fresh cohort of celebrities entering the jungle. The campmates include The Brady Bunch star Barry Williams, New Zealand supermodel Rachel Hunter, actor Gary Sweet, and reality TV veteran Matt Zukowski.

Julia Morris has been the steadfast host of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! Australia since 2015. Her former co-host was Dr Chris Brown, who was replaced by wildlife presenter Robert Irwin.

Reported Pressures Behind the Scenes

However, reports from earlier in 2024 suggested that the veteran presenter has been feeling overshadowed by her new, energetic co-host. A TV insider claimed that Morris has been under pressure to 'keep up' with Irwin's natural banter and boundless energy.

'While the viewers have celebrated the arrival of Robert Irwin as host, Julia is feeling fatigued by the pressure to match his natural energy,' an on-set source said. The insider likened the situation to exhausting babysitting, hinting at a struggle behind the cheerful facade presented on camera.

Producers reportedly arranged for Morris and Irwin to spend two weeks together before filming to build chemistry, though it was admitted this was a challenge. The source noted that while Morris has extensive experience in comedy, Irwin 'performs all day at Australia Zoo,' bringing a different kind of stamina to the role. Robert Irwin is reportedly paving his own way and 'couldn't be more popular at the moment.'

Executives are said to be working to ensure any strain does not translate to the screen, as the popular reality series continues with its new hosting dynamic.
