Jess Impiazzi Celebrates 25-Week Pregnancy Milestone After IVF Battle
Reality television personality Jess Impiazzi has proudly showcased her progressing pregnancy in a fresh Instagram update this Thursday. The 36-year-old star, who is expecting her first child with partner Sam Bird, 39, posted a radiant image displaying her baby bump at 25 weeks gestation.
Joyful Announcement Follows Fertility Struggles
In the social media photograph, Impiazzi wore a stylish black crop top and leggings while posing sideways, with Bird enthusiastically pointing toward her expanding midsection. The expectant mother captioned the moment: 'Bump check. 25 weeks!! Time is flying by!' This update arrives several weeks after the couple revealed they are anticipating a baby boy, whom they have affectionately termed their 'miracle' baby.
Overcoming Medical Challenges
The pregnancy announcement last month carried profound emotional weight, as Impiazzi has been navigating both in vitro fertilisation treatments and managing chronic autoimmune disease lupus. She shared ultrasound images alongside baby clothing emblazoned with 'Coming soon', expressing gratitude for Bird's unwavering support throughout medical appointments and injections.
Impiazzi reflected on their journey in her announcement: 'It’s been hard keeping this secret, especially as a huge over sharer... It’s not been an easy journey but my Sam has been there through every IVF appointment, every jab, every hospital appointment.'
Fertility Diagnosis and Determination
The television personality received a diagnosis of exceptionally low ovarian reserve in 2023, with medical professionals indicating her fertility levels resembled those of a 55-year-old. Despite this daunting prognosis and fears of early menopause impacting her ability to conceive, Impiazzi persevered with fertility treatments.
She previously shared with followers: 'I was diagnosed with low ovarian reserve earlier this year and that will mean I’ll hit an early menopause... My AMH level was 0.5 which is exceptionally low especially at my age of 34. I honestly felt like my world had been pulled from under me.'
Gender Reveal and Future Hopes
In conversation with Closer magazine, Impiazzi disclosed her initial surprise at learning the baby's gender: 'I was convinced I was having a girl. Then I thought, actually, sometimes in life it's bloody hard being a woman and wouldn't it be lovely to have a boy to introduce me to motherhood.'
The couple anticipates welcoming their son in May 2026, with Impiazzi expressing openness to expanding their family further if circumstances allow. Her journey has resonated with many facing similar fertility challenges, creating what she describes as a supportive community through shared experiences.
