DoorDash has released its inaugural Donut Day Dozens, a ranking of 100 top-rated small and mid-sized donut shops available through its app, just in time for National Donut Day on June 5.
The list, unveiled on Tuesday, features independent and regional shops with fewer than 10 locations across 86 cities in 25 states. To qualify, businesses needed at least 1,000 lifetime reviews and to be among the platform's highest-rated donut spots based on data collected between April 2025 and April 2026.
California dominates the ranking with 39 shops, nearly double Texas's 20 and far ahead of third-placed Washington with just four. Alongside the local rankings, DoorDash is partnering with Krispy Kreme for a limited-time promotion offering up to $7 off qualifying orders from June 4 to June 18.
Donutlicious & Boba Zone in Visalia, California, celebrated its inclusion on social media, thanking the community for support. National Donut Day, observed annually on the first Friday of June, originated in 1938 as a Salvation Army initiative honouring volunteers who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.
