Former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! campmates Kelly Brook and Shona McGarty have set social media alight with a series of bold and body-positive posts, proving their jungle adventures did little to dim their confident spirits.
Kelly Brook's Lingerie Model Return
Kelly Brook, 46, has joyfully declared herself "a lingerie model again" following a successful photoshoot for high-street giant Next. The former model, who rose to fame in the 90s, shared behind-the-scenes glimpses on Instagram, celebrating her curves in a sumptuous brown bra set and a sleek grey two-piece.
She teased the upcoming collection with the caption: "Celebrating curves and the most beautiful lingerie. Coming soon." This comes after the Slim Fast ambassador lost a stone during her two-week stint in the Australian jungle, though she has consistently radiated confidence at any size.
Rejecting the Weight-Loss Jab Trend
In a revealing conversation on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day podcast, Brook disclosed that she was recently offered the weight-loss injection Mounjaro by a doctor. "I was offered Mounjaro literally last week by a doctor. Isn’t that insane?" she recounted.
Her response was firmly dismissive: "I said, 'What do I need that for?' He said 'everyone’s on it' and I’m like 'Well, I’m not'." Brook questioned the alleged lack of side effects and concluded, "I don’t comply. He knows I don’t comply because they try and give me all sorts of things. I know what I like." While open to some cosmetic 'tweakments', she draws a clear line at pharmaceutical weight-loss aids.
Shona McGarty's Charity Shop Glamour
Meanwhile, her fellow jungle alum, EastEnders star Shona McGarty, 34, showcased a very different kind of style statement. The actress, famed for playing Whitney Dean, shared a playful 'Get Ready With Me' video, stripping down to her bra and festive fishnet stockings before donning a full outfit sourced entirely from charity shops.
The ensemble, a sharp combination of a white shirt, black tie, miniskirt, blazer, and hat, was a testament to her thrifty and unique fashion sense. McGarty paired the look with a powerful message of self-acceptance for her followers.
"Life’s too short to play it safe!!!" she urged. "Wear what makes you happy. Be unapologetically you. Different is beautiful... I’m done dressing to fit in hun. I’m wearing what makes me happy. We’re all different, and honestly… that’s the best part."
McGarty's star continues to rise, as she is set to perform on the BBC's New Year's Eve show, Ronan & Friends: A New Year’s Eve Party, alongside Louise Redknapp and Callum Scott. Both women, through lingerie modelling and second-hand style, are championing individuality and confidence in their own distinctive ways.
