Hollyoaks couple Niamh Blackshaw and Angus Castle-Doughty have delighted fans by announcing their engagement, four years after meeting on the set of the Channel 4 soap. The pair fell for each other after Angus, 31, joined the show as Eric Foster in 2022. By early 2023, Niamh, best known for playing Juliet Nightingale, confirmed they were dating.

On Wednesday night, the couple shared their exciting news on Instagram with a loved-up photobooth snapshot, simply captioned with an engagement ring emoji. The post was met with a flood of congratulations from former Hollyoaks co-stars and industry friends.
