Holly Ramsay's 'Last Christmas as a Miss' Amid Wedding Feud & Abbey Closure
Holly Ramsay's 'Last Christmas' Before Peaty Wedding

Holly Ramsay has emotionally declared this her 'last Christmas as a Miss' in a festive post with her fiancé, Olympic champion Adam Peaty. The couple are poised to exchange vows at the historic Bath Abbey on December 27, but their big day is being overshadowed by a very public family rift and controversy over their exclusive use of the venue.

A Festive Snapshot Before the Big Day

Ahead of the ceremony, the 25-year-old model took to her Instagram Stories to repost a loved-up picture of the pair on a Christmas walk. Beaming over their shoulders and holding hands, the image was captioned 'Last Christmas as a Miss'. The couple, who got engaged last year, appear more enamoured than ever as they approach their winter wedding.

A Bitter Family Feud Erupts

However, the celebrations will be notably missing a key figure: the swimmer's mother, Caroline Peaty. She has been barred from the service following a toxic and very public row that ignited in November. The initial spark was Caroline's exclusion from Holly's glamorous hen party in the Cotswolds, which was attended by celebrities including Victoria Beckham.

The snub triggered a wave of public grievances from the Peaty family. Adam's aunt, Louise, blasted the couple online, later claiming Caroline was uninvited due to her appearance and not having the right 'look'. There were also allegations that Holly and Adam asked Caroline to change her chosen wedding outfit.

Reports suggest tensions began earlier, during the couple's engagement party last December, which was filmed for Gordon Ramsay's upcoming Netflix documentary. A source told The Sun that Caroline was unhappy some family members weren't present and confronted Gordon at the event, where guests had to sign NDAs and surrender phones.

In a dramatic move, Peaty has reportedly disinvited all but one of his relatives from the wedding. The sole exception is his sister, Bethany, who attended the hen do. A family friend suggested Bethany 'fits in' with the Ramsays' glamorous world because 'she's blonde and very pretty', adding she has been asked to be a bridesmaid and is enamoured with the celebrity lifestyle.

Historic Abbey Closure Sparks Local Backlash

Further controversy surrounds the couple's wedding arrangements at Bath Abbey. It's reported they have block-booked the historic church for the entire day of December 27, despite the ceremony itself lasting only around 90 minutes. This means the abbey will be closed to tourists and the public, with security preventing onlookers and photos.

A notice posted at the abbey confirms it is 'closed all day for a wedding'. While standard hire costs approximately £2,500, the pair are believed to be paying several thousand more for exclusive use. The decision has not been well-received locally, with one resident calling it 'rather selfish' to hire the venue all day for a short service.

Despite the swirling drama, the bride and groom-to-be were seen brushing aside the feud earlier this week. They dined with friends, including swimmer Elijah Winnington's wife Eve, at Gordon Ramsay's Lucky Cat restaurant in Mayfair. Holly enjoyed a healthy seafood platter, while the couple continue final preparations for their December 27 wedding at the now-private Bath Abbey.
