Grammy Awards 2026: A Glamorous Return to the Red Carpet
The 2026 Grammy Awards marked a triumphant return to glamour on Sunday night, with stars arriving in style at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Following a subdued event last year due to the devastating 2025 wildfires, this year's ceremony burst back onto the scene with a vibrant display of fashion and celebrity presence.
Standout Arrivals and Fashion Statements
British rock-pop sensation Yungblud was among the first to capture attention, arriving with girlfriend Jesse Jo Stark. The 28-year-old artist, nominated for Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Album, wore a daring ensemble of leather trousers and an open leather shirt with an animal print fur-lined collar.
Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne made a poignant appearance at the event, which was set to pay tribute to her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne. She shared a heartfelt moment on the red carpet, cuddling with Yungblud, who was a close friend of Ozzy.
Other notable arrivals included 25-year-old singer Lola Young, nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Solo Performance, who sported an oversized printed tracksuit with a white shirt and a large colourful tie. FKA Twigs, 38, who won the Best Dance/Electronic Album award early in the ceremony, wore a striking dress with cascading sections of fabric that turned heads.
Nominees and Performers Set the Stage
The ceremony was led by a strong slate of nominees, with Kendrick Lamar topping the list with nine nominations. Other major contenders included Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Canadian producer/songwriter Cirkut, each with seven nominations. Artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny, Leon Thomas, and Serban Ghenea were up for six nominations each, while Andrew Watt, Clipse, Doechii, Sounwave, SZA, Turnstile, and Tyler, the Creator each had five.
The event featured a lineup of star presenters, including Doechii, Harry Styles, and Chappell Roan, with performances expected from Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Bruno Mars, and others. Comedian Trevor Noah presided over the ceremony, adding his signature humour to the proceedings.
Additional Red Carpet Highlights
French DJ Gesaffelstein made a unique fashion statement, appearing dressed as a shop mannequin, while music legend Joni Mitchell dazzled in sequins. The red carpet was a showcase of creativity and personal expression, reflecting the diverse talents celebrated at the Grammys.
This year's awards not only honoured musical achievements but also served as a moment of remembrance and celebration, with stars coming together to mark the resilience of the music industry after challenging times.
