Emily Atack Unveils Idyllic Country Cottage with Fiancé After Easter Festivities
Actress Emily Atack, 36, has offered an intimate look into the charming country cottage she now shares with her fiancé, scientist Alistair Garner, following their Easter Sunday hosting duties. The couple, who recently relocated to a picturesque village just 15 minutes from Emily's mother, Kate Robbins, near where she grew up, celebrated the holiday in their new home, embracing a quieter lifestyle away from London.
Post-Easter Recovery in Their Cosy Abode
On Monday, Emily shared a candid snap from their cosy cottage, where she and Alistair appeared to be nursing hangovers from the celebrations. In the photo, Emily meekly held a mug of coffee to her lips while sporting bunny ears, with Alistair pulling a similarly unimpressed expression beside her. Make-up free, she wore a ribbed grey top with her hair pulled back, and Alistair opted for comfort in a slogan sweatshirt.
Emily captioned the image, "Ouchie. Well done sir, @dralistairgarner," adding a red love heart emoji. The background of the snap revealed glimpses of their new house, which she described as "Chaos. Always," highlighting the lively aftermath of their garden party.
Glimpse into the Easter Garden Party Aftermath
On her Instagram Story, Emily, who shares her nine-month-old son Barney with Alistair, posted images of the party's aftermath. One photo showed a linen-covered table laden with half-finished drinks and bottles of booze, including a bottle of Piper-Heidsieck champagne that the group enjoyed. Another snap gave fans a look at the delicious spread, featuring salads, seafood, quiches, and a selection of sweet treats.
Further posts revealed a brick annex at the bottom of the garden and that Emily had employed a bartender to serve drinks at the event, underscoring the festive atmosphere of their first major gathering in the new home.
Career Success and Lifestyle Shift
Emily's career has flourished recently, thanks to her role in "Rivals," based on the novel by Jilly Cooper, where she stars alongside Danny Dyer and David Tennant. This success has coincided with her move to a village near her childhood home, a decision influenced by her relationship with Alistair.
Last month, it was revealed that the couple had moved to an idyllic village after welcoming their first child in June 2025. A source told The Sun, "She moved out of her family home 20 years ago but is now back living just 15 minutes away from her mum in a neighbouring village. It's all because of the man she fell in love with – and how he's given her the confidence to trust herself. She's had the biggest success of her career to date since starring in Rivals and is now living the life she truly wants."
The Daily Mail has contacted Emily's representatives for comment on her new lifestyle and future plans.
