Dylan Douglas, the 24-year-old son of actors Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, has been forced to defend himself online after being mistaken for a concertgoer who threw a drink at a Beyoncé show in Atlanta. The radio host, currently on a family vacation in Wales, received threatening messages after a TikTok video falsely identified him as the culprit.
In a video posted to social media, Douglas said: 'I hate to come on here and do this but I've been put in an awkward situation. This video surfacing on TikTok about someone putting a drink on someone at the Cowboy Carter concert in Atlanta, Georgia, that wasn't me.' He explained that the man in the video resembled him, but he was in Wales at the time and has never attended a Beyoncé concert.
Douglas, who studied at Brown University and hosts a SiriusXM radio show, also shared a photo of himself with his grandmother, Patricia, to prove his whereabouts. He has ambitions as a political commentator and has spoken about the challenges of being the son of famous parents, saying: 'Often, people already have perceptions of who I am before they even meet me.'
His mother, Catherine Zeta-Jones, has previously spoken about her children's interest in the entertainment industry, noting their passion for acting and their academic pursuits in history and politics.
