In a candid interview, Dyer recounted the incident, saying, "It was absolute madness. One minute I'm in character, the next I'm bolting down the street with my bits out for the whole world to see." The unexpected dash occurred during filming for Mr Bigstuff, a new BBC comedy where Dyer plays a larger-than-life character caught in absurd situations. "We were shooting this scene where everything goes tits up—literally in my case," he joked.
According to Dyer, the crew had to quickly adapt when the original plan fell apart. "There was no time to think. I just had to go for it. The director was screaming, 'Run, Danny, run!'—so I did."
