Dani Dyer's Candid Confession About Vape Addiction and Personal Struggles

Former Love Island champion Dani Dyer has offered a remarkably honest insight into her ongoing battle with vaping addiction, while simultaneously opening up about the challenges of motherhood and body confidence. The 29-year-old television personality took to her Instagram Story this week to share her latest attempt to quit e-cigarettes, marking her third serious effort to break the habit.

The Vaping Struggle: 'They Are Just So Addictive'

During an interactive question-and-answer session with her followers, Dyer responded to a fan who asked about her opinion on vaping culture. The reality star revealed that she has officially stopped using vapes for the third time, describing the devices as intensely habit-forming. 'This is my third time giving it up! They are just so addictive,' Dyer confessed, adding a crying face emoji to emphasise her emotional struggle.

She expressed concerns about the unknown long-term health implications of vaping, despite their fruity flavours and widespread popularity. 'Nobody really knows the dangers of them yet but I think puffing on a fruit stick all day can't be good,' she remarked, accompanying her statement with a sweating emoji to underline her anxiety about potential health risks.

This isn't the first time Dyer has discussed her vaping habits publicly. Last year, she spoke about her use of e-cigarettes on the podcast she hosts with her actor father Danny Dyer. Behind-the-scenes photographs from her wedding preparations even captured her with a bright pink disposable vape, highlighting how embedded the habit had become in her daily life.

Motherhood and Body Confidence Challenges

Dyer's revelations about vaping come just days after she discussed the significant impact motherhood has had on her body image and self-confidence. The mother-of-three, who shares four-year-old son Santiago with ex-partner Sammy Kimmence and twins Summer and Star with husband Jarrod Bowen, described struggling to accept her post-pregnancy body.

During an appearance on Ellis Ranson's Talk In Wardrobe podcast, Dyer admitted to putting herself through unnecessary distress during the first year after giving birth. 'I used to torture myself and try and put my old jeans on,' she revealed. Her mother eventually intervened, advising her to discard clothes that no longer fit rather than torment herself with unrealistic expectations.

'It is hard going through that phase because none of your clothes previously fit you,' Dyer explained. 'It is trying to find yourself again. I think after you become a mum you drastically change and then you do have to find new looks.'

Offering support to other mothers facing similar struggles, Dyer acknowledged that confidence fluctuates naturally. 'I think with confidence we do have our ups and downs, don't we? Especially as a woman, like we only really have a certain cycle of the month where we actually feel normal. We all struggle with confidence.'

Personal Journey: From Heartbreak to Happiness

Dyer's path to motherhood hasn't been without its difficulties. Last year, she heartbreakingly revealed that she suffered a miscarriage before welcoming her son Santiago. Speaking on Jamie Laing's In Great Company Podcast, she shared: 'Just before Santi, I got pregnant, and then that didn't work out. Because it didn't work out, I wanted a baby, so I wasn't careful.'

She described her parents' initial concern about her relationship situation at the time, though they ultimately supported her pregnancy following her loss. 'When I got pregnant again, I had so many scans, I was there all the time,' Dyer recalled, highlighting the anxiety that followed her miscarriage.

Reflecting on her relationship with Santiago's father, Dyer described it as challenging but expressed no regrets because it brought her son into her life. 'I think I had to go through a tricky relationship to get my little boy and to change me as a person, to get to where I am now.' She emphasised maintaining civility for Santiago's sake, acknowledging that her eldest child will never experience his parents being together.

Dyer married West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the luxurious Langley Hotel in Iver, Buckinghamshire, in May 2025. The venue commands approximately £500 per night, providing a stunning backdrop for their union. Despite finding happiness with Bowen, Dyer occasionally feels pangs of guilt when their twins excitedly greet their father while Santiago doesn't have the same experience.

Through her multiple revelations this week, Dani Dyer continues to demonstrate a refreshing willingness to discuss personal challenges that resonate with many young women and mothers across the country. Her openness about addiction struggles, body image issues, and complex family dynamics provides a relatable narrative beyond her reality television origins.
