Hip-hop superstar Cardi B has issued a passionate plea to her followers on social media, asking them to stop the "mean" commentary about her relationship with American football player Stefon Diggs. The outburst came after fans speculated about trouble in paradise when the couple spent Christmas Day separately.
‘You Want Me to Put My Baby Back?’: Cardi’s Emotional Plea
In a lengthy and candid video posted to X, the 33-year-old rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, directly addressed the online chatter that had been building for days. Cardi B told her audience they needed to "calm down" after what she described as several days of being "dragged" by overly critical followers.
"I can’t go back in time, I already had a baby," she stated emphatically. "You want me to put my baby back? What do you want me to do, you want me to leave my man?" The baby in question is the couple's first child together, born in November 2025.
The speculation ignited when fans noted the absence of Diggs, a 32-year-old wide receiver for the New England Patriots, from Cardi B's festive Instagram posts. The athlete himself fuelled the rumours by sharing on his Instagram Stories that he was spending the holiday with his other children.
A Relationship in the Public Eye
The couple's romance has been a consistent topic for fans and tabloids since it began. They first sparked dating rumours in February 2025 after being spotted arriving together at a Miami hotel. They went public in May and were later seen sitting courtside at a high-profile NBA playoff game between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics.
However, the relationship has not been without its dramatic moments. In July, Cardi B archived all posts featuring Diggs from her Instagram profile, leading to widespread breakup rumours. She later addressed this on the Call Her Daddy podcast, attributing it to her dramatic nature. "I’m very dramatic. That’s the thing, something that to people is a big deal, to me it’s not a big deal at the moment," she explained to host Alex Cooper.
Seeking Support Amid Heavy Workload
Beyond defending her personal life, Cardi B also opened up about the immense professional pressure she is under. She highlighted her demanding schedule, which is set to intensify in the new year. "I have so much work to do when January starts that is stressing me out," she shared. "I have to rehearse for 10-12 hours a day for tour."
It is this pressure that made her public appeal for loyalty from her fanbase so heartfelt. "I need my support system, my fans, to love me," she said. "I want good for you. Wish me the same thing."
Cardi B was previously married to fellow rapper Offset, with whom she shares three children: seven-year-old daughter Kulture, four-year-old son Wave, and one-year-old daughter Blossom. Her new baby with Stefon Diggs is her fourth child.
