In a dramatic and unprecedented public statement, Brooklyn Peltz Beckham has declared he has no intention of reconciling with his famous family, levelling serious allegations against his parents, Sir David and Victoria Beckham.
The Instagram Bombshell: Allegations of Control and Sabotage
The 26-year-old son of the football icon and fashion designer broke his years-long silence on the reported family rift via his Instagram story. He stated that his parents have persistently controlled media narratives about the family and, more shockingly, have tried endlessly to "ruin" his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, since before their 2022 wedding.
"I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private," Brooklyn wrote. "Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself." He accused them of placing "countless lies in the media" to preserve their public facade.
Specific Claims: From Wedding Dress Drama to Name Rights
Brooklyn's statement included several specific and damaging accusations. He claimed that Victoria Beckham cancelled designing Nicola's wedding dress at the eleventh hour, forcing a last-minute scramble for a replacement. He also alleged that, weeks before the ceremony, his parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe him into signing away the rights to his name, a deal they were "adamant" he complete before the wedding date.
"My holdout affected the payday and they have never treated me the same since," he asserted. Furthermore, he said his mother called him "evil" for choosing to seat his and Nicola's grandmothers at their table during the wedding planning.
A Life of 'Performance' and Finding Peace Away From 'Brand Beckham'
Brooklyn painted a picture of a childhood dominated by image management. "For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family," he said. "The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into."
He claimed that even his brothers, Cruz and Romeo, were sent to attack him on social media before blocking him last summer. In a particularly personal allegation, he said his mother "hijacked" his first dance with Nicola at their wedding, dancing "inappropriately" on him and causing immense humiliation.
However, Brooklyn concluded on a note of defiant peace. "For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared," he shared. "My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation. All we want is peace, privacy and happiness."
Sir David and Lady Beckham have been contacted for comment regarding their son's extensive claims.
