Brooklyn Beckham's New Year Snub Fuels Family Feud Rumours

Brooklyn Beckham has publicly highlighted his ongoing rift with parents David and Victoria Beckham by choosing to spend New Year's Eve with his wife Nicola Peltz's family. The 25-year-old shared his gratitude for the occasion on social media, in a move that conspicuously omitted any mention of his famous family.

Social Media Snub Sparks Speculation

Marking the start of 2026, Brooklyn took to his Instagram Stories to repost a picture originally shared by his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30. The image was captioned, "i’m so grateful to start the year with these humans", and tagged Nicola, Brooklyn, and Nicola's brother, Bradley. The absence of any reference to his parents or siblings was stark, coming just days after he also spent Christmas with the Peltz family.

The couple were seen celebrating in style at a South Florida ultra club, where they enjoyed a performance by 50 Cent after midnight. Photographs showed them with arms raised and broad smiles, seemingly having a blast as they brought in the new year.

Beckhams' Attempted Olive Branch

This latest development comes amid persistent rumours of a feud that has simmered for months. In a seeming attempt to heal the rift, David Beckham posted a New Year recap on Instagram. His initial carousel of 20 images featured his wife Victoria and their three other children—Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14—but notably excluded Brooklyn.

However, the former England captain later added a throwback photo of just himself and a younger Brooklyn with their arms wrapped around each other. He captioned it, "I love you all so much" followed by a white heart emoji. David also shared a black-and-white throwback image of all his children and Victoria, writing, "You are my life. I Love you all, Love Daddy x. On to 2026." Victoria reshared her husband's post, but Brooklyn appeared to continue his snub.

A Rift That Refuses to Heal

The public fallout first became apparent around the time of David Beckham's 50th birthday, with fans noting Brooklyn's absence from key family events. The pattern has continued, with Brooklyn and Nicola skipping both parents' birthdays and failing to acknowledge them on Instagram—a departure from his previous behaviour.

Most notably, the couple did not attend Sir David's knighthood ceremony last year and later renewed their wedding vows without a single member of Brooklyn's immediate family present. The divide seems to extend beyond just Brooklyn and his parents; his brother Romeo also omitted him from a reflective social media post about 2025, tagging his parents, siblings, and girlfriend but not Brooklyn.

As the Beckhams make public gestures of unity, Brooklyn's continued alignment with the Peltz family in Florida suggests the much-publicised family feud is far from over.
