Brooke Hogan has publicly shared her profound regret at being deliberately excluded from her late father Hulk Hogan's will, a decision she made herself amid deep-seated fears for her personal safety and that of her family.
The Inheritance Decision and Its Aftermath
In July 2025, the wrestling legend, born Terry Gene Bollea, tragically passed away from a fatal heart attack while recovering from a cervical surgery at his Florida residence. The WWE Hall of Famer was survived by his partner Sky Daily and his two children, Brooke and Nick Hogan.
In the months following his death, Brooke Hogan has elaborated on her remorse regarding the choice to remove herself from her father's will, a move precipitated by prior disagreements and escalating tensions between them.
Safety Concerns and Distrust
During a candid appearance on the Hollywood Raw Podcast, Brooke Hogan revealed, "I regret that decision. Not because of the money—I've never been about the money—but because now I don't have a seat at the table."
She further explained that her decision was heavily influenced by genuine fears for her safety, particularly concerning her views on how her father's estate finances were being managed. "There were situations that had me so scared. I really took myself off the wheel because No. 1, I was actually scared for myself, my family, my safety," she continued. "First of all, there's not enough money in the world that would matter with what I felt I was facing. There were just too many people that I had solid knowledge of not being good people around my dad and I tried to tell him and I felt that if I created any more waves that I would be in danger and that's for sure."
Family Rifts and Legal Actions
Reports indicate that Brooke Hogan had specifically requested Hulk Hogan's financial manager to exclude her from the will due to disagreements over the individuals surrounding the wrestling icon. She harboured significant distrust towards those in his inner circle and sought to protect herself from people with questionable intentions.
Hulk Hogan, in turn, believed his daughter did not have his best interests at heart, leading to a rift that persisted until his death. Despite being cut from the main will, Brooke Hogan remains a beneficiary of a modest life insurance trust established by the WWE legend.
Following Hulk Hogan's passing, her brother Nick Hogan filed legal documents to ensure she would not inherit any additional assets. Brooke Hogan responded to TMZ, stating, "His decision is no surprise to me. It's what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets."
Current Living Situation and Career Focus
Since these events, Brooke Hogan has reportedly been residing in a hotel with her husband and their children. Her husband, Steven Oleksy, discussed their current circumstances with Us Weekly, noting, "With my 14 years of professional hockey and her travel, this is nothing new for us. There's a beautiful restaurant we frequent, and the twins and I have a solid routine."
He added that Brooke has been dedicating long hours to her music career, often working until the early morning. "She's been putting [in] long days. A few nights have [turned] into 3 a.m. to 4a.m., trying to knock out as much music as possible. It is her true love and passion, and [she] has been gone from it because of things out of her control. [She is] very excited to bring the fans some updated music and [in] the new tracks she does a little bit of everything."
