Bobby Norris Shares Post-Surgery Update After Face and Neck Lift

Former TOWIE sensation Bobby Norris has been left bruised, swollen, and struggling to speak after undergoing a face and neck lift. The reality TV favourite shared a clip from his hospital bed on Monday morning, telling fans he was ‘fresh out of surgery’ and was now waiting for the ‘healing process’.

He explained: “I had surgery done yesterday and this is my first day post op. I thought I'd do an update diary for you. I've had a face lift, lower Blepharoplasty which is the lower skin under your eyes, and a neck lift.” Despite struggling to talk, Bobby still seemed in good spirits, jokingly adding, “We’re not getting the Vogue cover this month, put it this way.”

Transformation Journey and Body Image Struggles

Bobby Norris is virtually unrecognisable compared to his first appearance on screens in 2012, after undergoing an impressive body transformation. Known for his role in the hit TV series, the reality star has recently swapped his slimline figure for a remarkably buff physique and showcased this new look while appearing on Celeb SAS.

He has also undergone a slew of procedures, including '360 liposuction' and eyelid surgery. In a chat with The Sun, Bobby opened up: “I've had an upper left blepharoplasty - so that's an eyelid surgery - and I had my buccal fat removed from my cheeks, which are fat pads that people have in their cheeks. And then I had a little bit of lipo, and I've had that done under my chin as well, but I'm completely open book when it comes to things, as I say.”

Revealing his struggles with body image to the Daily Mail, he shared: “I was self-conscious comparing myself to the other guys [on TOWIE] because they were like Adonis's, they were chiselled, muscular and fair play to them it wasn't their fault, they weren't making me feel that way... it was my own insecurities. I am proud because I look back to where I was at, and I know where I am now.”

Gym Intimidation and Personal Growth

Despite often stripping down to his iconic thong for the Essex series, Bobby admitted he detested his lean physique. He conveyed a sense of pride in his transformation from a “beansprout” into someone he could feel “proud” of. He opened up about his past fear of gyms stating: “I used to be Bobby beansprout if I'm honest. I was scared of walking into a gym, and I built this phobia up in my head because you see all of these lovely bodies on social media and gym guys... I used to think it's alright for them walking into a gym because they already look good.”

Speaking of his previous intimidation by gym culture, he added: “A lot of gyms can be quite posey, which I found intimidating. Some people literally go in full glam. I go to the most amazing gym, and I've never felt uncomfortable. If anything, I wish I started training sooner.”

Dissolving Fillers and Natural Appearance Shift

In 2022, Bobby, who had left TOWIE the previous year, opted to dissolve his fillers, reverting to a more natural appearance. Explaining his decision to his followers, the radio presenter said: “I dissolved them all after Christmas and I haven't got any Botox in either, all natural.”

Discussing the change with his co-host on Access All Areas, Norris shared: “I'd just got to a point where I thought it's time for a change, so I had them dissolved. Big move because I've had facial fillers for years.”

He reflected on how his style had evolved over time, noting: “Fashion comes around and goes around, and when I look back at how I was when I started having them, I used to dye my hair jet black and I used to love a spray tan - everything was to excess. Subtle wasn't in the vocab.”

Norris added that his perspective had shifted in recent years, leading him to reevaluate his choices: “Over the last couple of years I have seen things differently and I feel like I've changed and I've kind of gone on this little bit of a journey. It just was time to ditch them. It's not a decision I made overnight. I'd just got stuck in a rut of having things done. It's kind of a scary thing because obviously, where you've had things done, you don't see underneath the fillers how your face has aged.”
