The production of Aziz Ansari's highly anticipated directorial debut, 'Being Mortal', has been abruptly suspended following serious misconduct allegations against veteran actor Bill Murray.
Searchlight Pictures, the studio behind the project, confirmed the shutdown in a statement to crew members, revealing that a formal complaint had been filed last week regarding Murray's behaviour on set.
Production Grinds to a Halt
Filming was immediately suspended on Monday, April 18th, after the complaint was formally lodged. The studio has launched a thorough investigation into the matter, though specific details about the nature of the allegations remain confidential.
In their communication with the crew, Searchlight Pictures stated: "We are truly grateful to all of you for everything you've put into this project. This is certainly a pause you don't want to see, and we are sorry for all the uncertainty this creates."
