During a heart-to-heart conversation with fellow contestant Ruby Wax in the treehouse on Tuesday night, Morgan Burtwistle - the 24-year-old from Salford, Greater Manchester, known online as Angry Ginge - opened up about his failed romance. Though famous for his pranks, Ginge assured viewers this was not a hoax but a genuinely painful experience.
The incident originally took place in October 2022. While live streaming to his followers, Ginge picked up his phone to check a notification, telling his audience, "Oh sorry, it's just my girlfriend messaging my chat. Just let me reply to her really quick."

In a devastating moment broadcast to all his followers, Ginge read the message from his then-girlfriend aloud. "Why did you send me that? It looks f**king disgusting. We're over," he recited. His face immediately fell as the reality of the situation sunk in.

"I laid rose petals, from the front door all the way up the stairs and then it opened to my room. There's a teddy bear, there's a rose and then I officially asked her to be my girlfriend," he confessed.
