Andy Cohen Hits Back at Plastic Surgery Rumours After New Year's Eve Show
Andy Cohen addresses plastic surgery speculation

Television personality Andy Cohen has publicly addressed swirling speculation that he underwent cosmetic surgery ahead of his recent New Year's Eve hosting gig. The Bravo star co-hosted CNN's live broadcast from Times Square, prompting comments online about his changed appearance.

Direct Response to Social Media Chatter

Following the telecast on Wednesday 31 December 2025, a user on the social platform Threads questioned Cohen's look, writing: "I just saw the new clips of Andy Cohen on NYE and WTF did he do to his face?!? Is he trying to find a new husband at Mar-a-Lago?"

Cohen, 57, did not hesitate to respond directly. He clarified the situation by stating: "Did the smallest amount of Botox and lost 20 pounds! And had a lot of makeup on." This marks a shift for the host, who has historically been vocal about avoiding such procedures.

A Reversal on Botox and Weight Loss Revelation

Cohen's admission comes after he revealed trying Botox for the first time in April 2025 during an episode of Bravo's Married to Medicine reunion. He told audiences, "I just got it for the first time in my life. They gave me a little."

This is a notable change from his previous stance. In November 2024, on the How to Fail podcast, he insisted he had "not touched it," and recounted how the late Joan Rivers used to beg him to get it. He also observed that many male TV hosts his age or younger had used Botox, leaving their foreheads immobile.

Separately, Cohen has been open about his recent weight loss journey. On his Radio Andy show in September 2025, he confessed to using a GLP-1 weight loss drug, micro-dosing it over the summer. He said he was "really unhappy with my weight" and that his doctor recommended the medication not only for weight management but also to treat plaque in his arteries and high blood pressure.

From Interviewer to Subject

Cohen, who is famous for grilling Real Housewives stars and other guests about their cosmetic procedures on Watch What Happens Live, acknowledged the irony of now being the subject of such scrutiny. He felt it would be hypocritical not to share his own experience after two decades of questioning others about their body regimens.

He praised the weight loss drug as "revolutionary," explaining it helped curb his cravings and encouraged more discipline with diet and exercise. Cohen returned to co-host CNN's New Year's Eve Live special with Anderson Cooper for the ninth consecutive year, broadcasting from New York City's Times Square.
