Hollywood stars Ana de Armas and Jacob Elordi sent tongues wagging with a noticeably affectionate reunion at the 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills on Sunday. The pair, who previously starred together in the 2022 thriller Deep Water, were seen deep in conversation and even holding hands amidst the star-studded crowd inside the Beverly Hilton.
A Cosy Catch-Up Amongst the Stars
The 37-year-old Knives Out actress, who ended her nine-month romance with Tom Cruise in October last year, was photographed sharing a laugh with Elordi, 28. Witnesses noted de Armas held a small smile as they talked, while the Euphoria star, who earned two Golden Globe nominations that evening, lightly touched her arm during their chat. The intimate display occurred before the main ceremony kicked off, marking their first public reunion since working together.
Recent Romantic Histories for Both Stars
This warm encounter follows significant relationship shifts for both actors. De Armas and Cruise were first linked in February 2025 and were seen on several public outings, including a hand-holding getaway to Vermont in July. However, by October, sources confirmed the pair were "done for now," with insiders suggesting de Armas had "put the brakes" on the fast-moving relationship, though she reportedly "still likes" the Mission: Impossible star.
Similarly, Jacob Elordi recently concluded his on-and-off relationship with influencer Olivia Jade, daughter of actress Lori Loughlin. The couple, who began dating in 2021, split in August last year, briefly rekindled their romance, before parting ways for good in October. A source told People at the time, "It's fully over. They are not getting back together."
From Co-Stars to Close Confidantes?
The bond between de Armas and Elordi was forged on the set of Deep Water, which also starred Ben Affleck. In a 2020 interview with E! News, Elordi reflected fondly on the experience, calling it his "favourite experience of recent" and praising his co-stars as "wonderful performers" who had "earned their stripes." He described the joy of watching "these like titans of film make a movie."
For the glitzy Golden Globes evening, de Armas stunned in a shimmering black gown with a plunging neckline and a thigh-high slit. Elordi looked dapper in a black double-breasted suit, completing his look with black-rimmed shades. The actor was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Frankenstein and Best Actor in a Miniseries for The Narrow Road To The Deep North, though he did not win in either category.
The night's big film winner was One Battle After Another, which took home Best Picture in the Musical or Comedy category, while Hamnet won Best Drama. Stellan Skarsgård beat Elordi to the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in Sentimental Value.
