Amy Adams and Daughter Aviana Share Rare Paris Fashion Week Outing

In a rare public appearance together, actress Amy Adams and her teenage daughter Aviana attended the Lacoste show during Paris Fashion Week on Sunday. The mother-daughter duo made a stylish entrance, capturing attention on the star-studded front row.

Affectionate Moments and Fashion Statements

The 51-year-old actress, a six-time Oscar nominee, shared an affectionate moment with her 15-year-old daughter, giving her a gentle kiss on the head as they posed together before taking their seats. Amy looked effortlessly cool in a leather bomber jacket paired with black high-waisted trousers and a semi-sheer shirt that offered a glimpse of her bra underneath.

She elevated her monochrome ensemble with bold accessories, including layered necklaces, a silver metallic handbag, and rectangular sunglasses. Meanwhile, Aviana – who Amy shares with husband Darren Le Gallo – appeared as her mother's mini-me, inheriting her red hair, albeit in a lighter shade.

The teenager showcased her own fashion sense in a pleated navy maxiskirt paired with an eye-catching green turtleneck and delicate white heels. Their coordinated yet individual styles highlighted their close relationship.

Star-Studded Company and Family Support

The exclusive front row also featured fellow Hollywood stars Kieran Culkin, Aubrey Plaza, and Marisa Abela. Amy posed for a cheerful photograph alongside Succession star Kieran, who opted for a casual look with a graphic long-sleeved shirt and charcoal trousers.

This rare public outing follows Amy's heartfelt comments about how supportive her daughter has become at public events. After Aviana and Darren attended the Toronto Film Festival premiere of her film Nightb**** in 2024, Amy told People magazine: 'It was really great to share that with her. I just love her!'

She revealed her daughter's encouraging words during nerve-wracking moments: 'I get really nervous about public speaking, and she's never been around me [in those moments]. She was like, "Mom, you do this all the time. You got this!" She was supporting me, it was so sweet.'

Mother-Daughter Dynamics and Personal Insights

Amy also shared how Aviana used to prefer her mother's natural appearance, requesting she save the glamour for red carpet events. 'She didn't like me wearing make-up,' the American Hustle star explained. 'She's like, "I just want you to look like Mom, not like Amy Adams." And I was like, "You got it."'

This led to years where Amy avoided makeup in everyday situations, though she admitted to sneaking some mascara occasionally. She described herself as 'the last person to get ready' and 'the least manicured at my household,' noting this pattern had persisted since Aviana's birth.

Recently, however, her daughter has encouraged some changes. 'But lately, per my daughter's request, I'm working on an upgrade. She's like, "You can't wear workout clothes if you're not working out, Mom. You can't just do the leisure part of athleisure."'

Family Background and Lasting Commitment

Amy and Darren met in an acting class in 2001, began dating a year later when collaborating on the short film Pennies, and got engaged in 2008. They welcomed Aviana in 2010 and eventually married in 2015 at a ranch near Santa Barbara, California.

The actress told Allure in 2016 that their decision to marry was influenced by their daughter wanting a family wedding. 'We always had the commitment, but now he’s stuck with me and I can really act out. I’m kidding,' she told The Times. 'The truth is, I feel a stronger sense of family, a bigger sense of permanence, which is a nice thing for me.'

She has also expressed admiration for Darren's parenting, telling Marie Claire in 2018: 'It's sexy to see him raising a girl and teaching her how a man should treat her in a lovely way.'

Emotional Reflections on Motherhood

Amy became visibly emotional when discussing how her film Disenchanted serves as a 'love letter' to her daughter. She explained that the fairytale sequel to Enchanted represents her journey in learning to teach Aviana autonomy and unconditional love.

'Something I've learned – I think I learned it the minute she was born, not to be overly personal, that I had this idea of who she was going to be and what her essence was,' she reflected. 'It was just all projection. And then the journey since the moment she was born is finding out who she is, who she wants to be.'

She emphasized the importance of listening and allowing her daughter to become an autonomous individual. 'And really learning to listen and give her that opportunity to be an autonomous being in this world is something that I have to remind myself every day as I sort of, you know, try to fix all her problems for her.'

Amy concluded with a powerful declaration of maternal love: 'Amy went on to say everything she does in life is to make the world a "wonderful place" for Aviana and "no matter who she is in this world and who she chooses to be, I will love her no matter what."'
