Adam Peaty's Mother Excluded from Wedding: Aunt Reveals Heartbreak
Adam Peaty's mum barred from wedding, aunt reveals pain

The mother of Olympic champion Adam Peaty spent what should have been a joyous day in quiet despair, after being told she was no longer welcome at her son's star-studded wedding to model Holly Ramsay.

A Mother's Devastating Exclusion

Caroline Peaty, 60, was left heartbroken after discovering she had been uninvited from the lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey, where her 31-year-old son married Gordon Ramsay's daughter. While over 200 guests, including David and Victoria Beckham, celebrated the union, Caroline and her husband Mark remained at their Staffordshire home.

The painful news was delivered at a particularly cruel moment. According to Adam's aunt, Louise Williams, Caroline learned she was barred while returning her five-year-old grandson, George, to his mother. George is Adam's son from his previous relationship with artist Eirianedd Munro.

Louise claimed Caroline had to suppress her profound feelings of "hurt and betrayal" to shield her young grandson from the upset. "She had to keep the pain, hurt and betrayal in because no way was she letting her grandson see how upset she was," Louise wrote in an Instagram comment. "Talk about sticking the knife in and twisting it."

A Bitter Feud Escalates

The wedding snub followed Caroline's exclusion from Holly Ramsay's hen party at Soho Farmhouse in November. She was reportedly given no explanation for being left out, even as the bride's father, Gordon Ramsay, participated in the stag do festivities.

In the lead-up to the wedding, Caroline expressed her anguish publicly, posting a quote on Instagram that read: "Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can't explain how broken your heart is." She later told the Mail she felt "beside herself" and that "they have cut my heart out."

The conflict reached a dramatic peak just before the ceremony. Louise Williams reportedly sent Adam a stern text message moments before he said 'I do'. The message, published by MailOnline, stated: "I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through... Shame on you both. Shame."

Adam Peaty Breaks His Silence

Adam Peaty addressed the ongoing family tensions in a statement released in November. He focused on personal growth, stating he was working to "improve myself as a person" and be a "worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete."

He acknowledged the challenging times, adding, "Bethany, Holly and I will get through this - we do not ask for sympathy. We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story." His then-fiancée, Holly Ramsay, shared his post with her 400,000 followers in a show of support.

The wedding itself proceeded as a grand celebrity affair at the historic Bath Abbey on December 27th, 2025, marking a stark contrast to the private sorrow felt by the groom's mother miles away.
