The mother of Olympic champion Adam Peaty spent what should have been a joyous day in quiet despair, after being told she was no longer welcome at her son's star-studded wedding to model Holly Ramsay.
A Mother's Devastating Exclusion
Caroline Peaty, 60, was left heartbroken after discovering she had been uninvited from the lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey, where her 31-year-old son married Gordon Ramsay's daughter. While over 200 guests, including David and Victoria Beckham, celebrated the union, Caroline and her husband Mark remained at their Staffordshire home.
The painful news was delivered at a particularly cruel moment. According to Adam's aunt, Louise Williams, Caroline learned she was barred while returning her five-year-old grandson, George, to his mother. George is Adam's son from his previous relationship with artist Eirianedd Munro.
Louise claimed Caroline had to suppress her profound feelings of "hurt and betrayal" to shield her young grandson from the upset.
