The family rift surrounding Olympic champion Adam Peaty has reportedly intensified, with the swimmer now accused of disinviting his great aunt and uncle from his lavish wedding to Holly Ramsay just four days before the ceremony.
A Last-Minute Disinvitation
According to reports, 31-year-old Peaty, who married 25-year-old Holly Ramsay at Bath Abbey last weekend, revoked the invitation for his great aunt Janet, 73, and uncle Eddie at extremely short notice. The news was delivered via an automated message, which a source described as 'so impersonal'. The couple had allegedly already spent hundreds of pounds on gifts, outfits, and accommodation for the event.
This latest development follows the earlier disinvitation of Peaty's mother, Caroline, last month. The initial feud was said to have erupted after Caroline was not included in Holly Ramsay's hen do. Caroline was reportedly left devastated, watching the wedding unfold from 130 miles away at the family home in Staffordshire.
The Sole Family Representative
Amid the escalating tensions, Peaty's glamorous older sister, Bethany, 32, was the only immediate family member to attend the wedding. She played a prominent role, having been handpicked by Holly to serve as one of her three Maids of Honour. Photographs show Bethany beaming as she walked arm-in-arm with Holly's sisters, Tilly and Megan.
However, insiders claim that Bethany's decision to accept such a central role has left her mother feeling 'betrayed'. A source alleged to The Sun: 'Beth has betrayed her mum to see what she can get out of being the only family member who gets on with Adam and Holly.' The source further claimed Bethany has changed her appearance and personality to align with the Ramsays' celebrity lifestyle.
Peaty's father, Mark, was the only other family member besides Bethany asked to attend, but he was reportedly told he would have to sit at the back 'behind the plus ones'. Peaty's two brothers, James and Richard, were also barred from the celebrations.
A Bond with the Bride
Bethany is understood to have struck up a close bond with Holly soon after she began dating Adam in the spring of 2023. She featured prominently in social media posts from their engagement party in December 2024 and was a key part of Holly's Soho Farmhouse hen do in November 2025, appearing in the 'Team Bride' Instagram carousel.
While the newlyweds have now jetted off on honeymoon, Bethany is said to have been left to 'face the music' regarding the family fallout. Her fiancé, Dan, who is believed to be close to Adam, attended the swimmer's stag do in Budapest last month.
