Gogglebox's Steph and Dom Parker: Life After the Show

Gogglebox stars Steph and Dom Parker, who left the Channel 4 show in 2016, have since sold their Kent mansion after financial difficulties, faced a serious health scare, and launched their own gin brand.

From Gogglebox to New Ventures

The couple first appeared on Gogglebox in 2013 during its inaugural series and quickly won over viewers with their witty one-liners and commentary on the week's television highlights. They departed the show in 2016, going on to release their own book and appear in TV programmes such as The Jump, Celebrity MasterChef, and Celebrity Hunted.

Property Sale and Move Abroad

In 2021, following financial difficulties that left the couple in considerable debt, Steph and Dom sold their grand mansion in Sandwich, Kent, and relocated to the Canary Islands. They had previously purchased the Grade I-listed boutique hotel, where they had filmed for the Channel 4 show back in 2004, before spending a further £2.5 million on renovating The Salutation.

In 2020, the Parkers revealed that the company operating the manor house would be wound up and guests' deposits would be forfeited. The hotel was subsequently closed down. Regarding the decision to sell, Dom told MailOnline: "Our lives have changed and moved on considerably, and we are not in a position to move permanently back to Sandwich."

Health Scare and Family Loss

In 2019, Steph disclosed she was '20 minutes from death' after being struck down by double pneumonia during Boxing Day the previous year, with Dom describing it as a "near-death experience". Reflecting on how she felt before the attack, Steph told The Mirror: "I had started going a bit mad because I had no oxygen in my system. But I didn't even realise it because when you are that sick you don't really know what's going on at all. Christmas is very busy in our home and we had been away working solidly in the run-up. I had to put a tree up and make everything happen in 24 hours. So I think I pushed myself too far, and it was just sheer exhaustion, which allowed infection in."

In 2025, Steph and Dom were dealt a devastating blow when their cherished dog, Gigi, who featured in numerous Gogglebox episodes, tragically died. Posting to their Instagram, they shared an image of the miniature Dachshund's collar. In the caption, they wrote: "It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that we lost Gigi on Thursday 18th Sept in the early evening. She passed away at home, in our arms and has joined Coco over the bridge to continue their mischief and zoomies together. We wish we could be more eloquent with our words - but we have none - not yet - but she was loved by so many and you have all been so kind to her and us that we wanted to share this with you as soon as we could actually get the words down - we raise a large glass to 'The Squeedge'."

New Career in Gin

Since departing Gogglebox, Steph and Dom have launched their own gin; Steph and Dom's Gin - Aftermath 1666. The duo sell the drink through their website for £36.40, with the pair revealing: "We are not aware of any other gin that boasts of tasting of oak or smoke! We may be proved wrong, but we've done it nonetheless."

Elaborating on the product, they added: "This is not a floral, fruity or wildly herby gin and nor is it reminiscent of wandering through Granny's garden. This is a gin designed to enthral and to be drunk neat, with water or in a martini." In May, the pair took to Instagram to showcase the gin, with Dom appearing in a video to promote the spirit as part of a '2 for £60' special offer. Gogglebox airs every Friday at 9pm on Channel 4.
