EA Sports FC 27 fans are set for a new Ultimate Team promo arriving significantly sooner than usual in the FUT calendar. Future Stars, which typically launches early in the new year, is expected to drop on Friday, October 9, according to content creators, leakers and insiders.
The promo celebrates the hottest prospects in world football aged 23 or younger. EA Sports promised that Season 1 of EA FC 27 would be themed around the current Destined for Glory promo and the ever-popular Future Stars event, and it is Future Stars that is arriving imminently.
Future Stars release date and time
Although unconfirmed, Future Stars is expected to start on Friday, October 9, at the usual 6pm content drop that FUT fans are accustomed to on Friday evenings. At that point, the currently available Destined for Glory player items will no longer be available in packs and will be replaced by the new Future Stars cards.
In many years gone by, the promo has included the FUT Future Stars Academy, a feature that usually offers players a way to improve a Future Stars player item to unlock their full potential. Whether it gets revived in EA FC 27 remains unconfirmed for now, but it is considered very likely.
Future Stars leaks and predictions
Prominent leakers and insiders have explained what they expect to see released. Perhaps the most unsurprising inclusion leaked by insiders such as FUT Sheriff is Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha, who has featured prominently in EA FC 27 marketing and was given a special card at the end of EA FC 26.
Leakers like FUT Sheriff have told followers to expect the following players to be included:
- GK: Robin Risser (Lens) - 87 OVR
- LB: Myles Lewis-Skelly (Arsenal) - 87 OVR
- CM: Tom Bischof (Bayern Munich) - 87 OVR
- LM: Rio Ngumoha (Liverpool) - 86 OVR
- CAM: Gilberto Mora (Tijuana) - 85 OVR
- RW: Vicky Lopez (Barcelona) - 90 OVR
Content creators and fans also expect the following Future Stars player items:
- LB: Lewis Hall (Newcastle) - 85 OVR
- CB: Jon Martin (Real Sociedad) - 86 OVR
- CM: Lily Yohannes (Lyonnais) - 87 OVR
- ST: Ange-Yoan Bonny (Inter/Lombardia) - 85 OVR
- ST: Will Lankshear (Middlesbrough) - 87 OVR
Objectives and Team 2
There should be objective and Squad Building Challenges throughout the two-week promo, with Team 2 likely to arrive next Friday (October 16). The Destined for Glory promo is soon to end, making way for the new Future Stars cards in EA FC 27 Ultimate Team.
