Man Admits Wounding Partner at Welsh Holiday Park

A man has admitted a charge of unlawful wounding of his partner, following what police described as a 'domestic incident' at a North Wales holiday park.

Court Appearance

Jake Cooper appeared via video link from HMP Berwyn at Mold Crown Court for a short hearing before Judge Timothy Petts. The 27-year-old, of Timperley Close, Oldham, admitted a charge of unlawful wounding but denied a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Incident Details

Officers from North Wales Police were called to Haven's Presthaven Sands holiday park in Prestatyn in the early hours of Saturday, May 16. They described the incident as 'domestic'.

A trial date for the denied charge has been set for October 27, 2026. Cooper was remanded in custody, and there was no application for bail.
