X Factor Finalist Faces Serious Charges Following London Nightclub Collision
A security guard has been left with life-changing injuries following a serious incident outside a London nightclub, allegedly involving a former X Factor finalist. Anoosh Chaichy, aged 56 from Edgware in north London, was struck by a black Mercedes in the early hours of Sunday morning, April 19, resulting in severe and permanent harm.
Details of the Incident and Those Involved
The collision occurred on Argyll Street in Soho, where Mr. Chaichy had been standing next to influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, known online as Klaudiaglam. At the time, he was attempting to move his e-scooter when both individuals were hit by the vehicle. Mr. Chaichy was left lying on the pavement, while Ms. Zakrzewska, a Polish-born influencer with nearly 260,000 Instagram followers, was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
The driver of the Mercedes has been identified as Gabrielle Carrington, a 29-year-old from Manchester who reached the finals of X Factor in 2013 as part of the group Miss Dynamix. Carrington, who also goes by the online alias RIELLEUK and boasts over 365,000 followers, was apprehended by police following the crash.
Legal Proceedings and Charges
Carrington appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court, where District Judge Nina Tempia remanded her in custody. She faces a series of serious charges, including:
- Attempted murder
- Causing grievous bodily harm with intent
- Assault occasioning actual bodily harm
- Dangerous driving
- Drink driving
During the hearing, prosecutor Rizwan Amin outlined the prosecution's case, stating that the incident left Mr. Chaichy and another woman, Latisha Armstrong, injured alongside Ms. Zakrzewska. Carrington did not enter any pleas at this stage.
Police Investigation and Public Appeal
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that a woman in her 30s remains in a life-threatening condition, a man in his 50s sustained life-changing injuries, and a third woman in her 30s was treated for minor injuries. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell of Specialist Crime South emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and appealed for witnesses.
"While this incident took place in the early hours of the morning, venues in the area were still open, and we believe a number of people will have seen what happened," said DCI Foxwell. "I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or any activity prior to it that they feel may be of relevance, to come forward."

David Malone, deputy chief crown prosecutor for the CPS in London North, issued a reminder regarding the active proceedings. "We remind all concerned that proceedings against the defendant are active and that she has the right to a fair trial," he stated.
