Emergency Services Rush to Wimbledon Blast Scene

A man has been taken to hospital with burn injuries following a reported explosion in Wimbledon, South West London. Emergency services were called to Queens Road at 10:06am on Monday, 17th November.

Hazardous Response Team Deployed

The London Ambulance Service confirmed it dispatched significant resources to the incident. A spokesperson stated they sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. Crucially, paramedics from the specialist Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were also sent to the scene to manage the potential dangers.

The man received treatment for his injuries at the location before being transported to a hospital as a priority. The exact cause of the explosion is currently under investigation.
