Surrey Police have launched a major public appeal following a horrific sexual assault in which a woman was raped by multiple men outside a church in Epsom. The victim, a woman in her twenties, reported the attack after being followed upon leaving the Labyrinth Epsom nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Details of the Distressing Incident
The assault is believed to have occurred between 2am and 4am on Saturday outside the Epsom Methodist Church on Ashley Road. This location is approximately one hundred metres from the nightclub, indicating the attack happened shortly after the victim departed the venue.

Detective Inspector Aine Matthews confirmed that the investigation remains in its early stages, with officers working rapidly to develop a clearer picture of the suspects. Full descriptions are not yet available, but extensive inquiries are underway to identify and locate those responsible.

They particularly wish to speak with individuals who may have seen or spoken to a woman in her twenties appearing distressed. Motorists with potential dashcam footage from that timeframe are also strongly encouraged to come forward.
