Police in West Yorkshire have arrested three men following reports of a sexual assault on two schoolgirls at a busy shopping centre in Leeds.

Details of the Alleged Attack

The incident is reported to have occurred at a shopping centre in the Seacroft area of Leeds. Officers were called to the scene yesterday, 30 December 2025, after receiving reports of men acting suspiciously. Upon arrival, they located the two teenage victims.

An immediate police response led to the arrest of two men, aged 38 and 44, on suspicion of sexual offences at the scene. The investigation progressed rapidly, and a third man, aged 20, was detained today, 31 December 2025, on the same suspicion.

All three suspects remain in police custody as enquiries continue. West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that Leeds District Safeguarding officers are leading the investigation, focusing on supporting the victims and piecing together the full circumstances of the incident.

In a statement, the force said: "Enquiries remain ongoing by Leeds District Safeguarding officers to support the victims and determine the full circumstances of what occurred. Reassurance patrols by uniformed officers have also been ongoing in the area."
