Three Charged Over Machete Raid on Knightsbridge Rolex Boutique

Three men have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a Rolex store in Knightsbridge, where masked assailants on mopeds stole watches worth tens of thousands of pounds. The Metropolitan Police carried out early morning raids on Thursday (February 5) in Islington and Tower Hamlets, leading to the arrests.

Elliot Campbell, 31, Dean Dinan, 29, and Dyllan Gowie, 27, have each been charged with robbery and possession of drugs. Dinan faces additional charges of possession of a firearm, ammunition and criminal property, while Campbell also faces a charge of possession of criminal property. They are due to appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court on Thursday (February 6).

The charges follow an incident on January 22, when six robbers wielding crowbars and machetes smashed their way into the store. Footage showed figures in black swinging a machete as they grabbed items. Witnesses reported a loud crash as a scooter burst through the shop front. The gang fled on four mopeds, leaving a stolen moped behind.

The investigation is being led by the Met's Flying Squad, an elite unit specialising in violent organised crime. Detective Chief Inspector Scott Mather said: 'The Flying Squad specialises in tracking down organised robbers who use violence and intimidation.' The squad, founded in 1918, has handled major cases including the 2015 Hatton Garden heist and a 2024 theft of a Banksy print worth £270,000.
