Community Mourns a 'Jolly and Friendly' Neighbour

The local community in the cul-de-sac has been left reeling from the loss. One neighbour, visibly shaken, paid a heartfelt tribute to Ms Westerman.

'I miss her. We just did the Bingo. We were neighbourhood friends,' they said. 'I haven't gotten over the shock yet. In a cul-de-sac, you miss them as you get used to talking. She was right jolly. Very friendly.'

Another resident told Leeds Live: 'She always answered my wave with a smile. We don't see each other as much here. But every time, she would wave back and say "Hi, love".'

Tributes have been left at the scene on Melville Gardens as friends and neighbours come to terms with the tragic event.
