Sandhu Ponnachan, a 36-year-old man, has been remanded into custody following his appearance in court in connection with a serious incident in Derby where a vehicle struck pedestrians, resulting in injuries to seven individuals.
Details of the Derby Incident
The incident occurred on Saturday night outside the Bishop Blaise pub on Friar Gate in Derby. A black Suzuki Swift mounted the pavement, hitting four men and three women, all aged between 36 and 52 years old.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Ponnachan is facing six counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, one count of attempted grievous bodily harm, and one count of possession of a bladed article. He appeared in court and will remain in custody until his next scheduled appearance at Derby Crown Court on 29 April.
