A 32-year-old man who died in a Porsche crash in Sheffield over the weekend has been identified locally as Daniel Mahmood. Tributes have been paid to the 'top guy' who had 'so many plans'.
The incident occurred on Savile Street East at 10:40 pm on Friday, April 24. A black Porsche Cayenne traveling away from the city collided with a Seat Ibiza, South Yorkshire Police confirmed. The driver and passenger in the Seat sustained minor injuries and have been assisting officers with their enquiries.
The two men inside the Porsche, aged 32 and 26, both suffered serious head injuries. Tragically, the 32-year-old passed away on Saturday, while the 26-year-old remains in a serious but stable condition, according to Yorkshire Live.
Muslim funeral service noticeboard Janaza South Yorkshire announced the death, stating: "It is with great sadness we inform you of the passing away of Daniel Mahmood (Kanayli, District Mirpur/Harrowden Road, Tinsley) son of Ch Zaffar Mahmood, brother of Shehroz Mahmood, grandson of late Haji Ch Mohammad Latif and late Ch. Ghulam Rasool, nephew of Ch Mohammed Razzaq (Sheffield College), Ch Mohammed Ishaq and Ch Mohammed Amin, also nephew of Ch Mohammed Ghazi and Barrister Abid Hussain."
Followers of the page paid their respects to the 32-year-old. Leila Al Halabi wrote: "May Allah swt grant him Jannah (paradise) that's so sad subhanAllah he looks so young." Mohammad Siraj wrote: "Ameen, I'm deeply sorry to hear about the loss of Daniel Mahmood, may his soul rest in peace and his family find courage in this difficult time."
Mani Ramzan wrote: "My brother gone too early. You had so many plans but Allah is the best planner life is gonna be hard without Dan." Qos Tanveer wrote: "Top guy. Met him at college always happy, always smiling. May Allah tala give his family sabar in this very difficult time."
Sakander Khan wrote: "May Allah bless the departed a highest rank in Jannat and forgive his shortcomings. May Allah bless the family and friends patience to bear this immense loss. Such a young lad passing too, I can feel the pain the whole community is going through."
