Detectives leading the search for the missing partner of Sir Mick Jagger's granddaughter have issued a fresh public appeal, releasing CCTV images of two dog walkers who may hold crucial information. The investigation enters its second week as concerns intensify for Alexander Key, a 37-year-old chef who vanished from the Cornish seaside village of Boscastle.
Timeline of Disappearance
Alexander Key was last seen on Friday afternoon at the Cobweb Inn pub in Boscastle, where CCTV captured him sitting alone. He was wearing a black hooded top covered by a distinctive red stripy jumper. The following day, at 3.25pm on Saturday, further footage shows him walking past the Wellington Pub on Old Road, heading in the direction of Boscastle Harbour towards the River Valency.
Police have now released images of a couple walking dogs in the opposite direction a short time later. Officers are particularly keen to speak to these individuals to establish whether they passed Alexander during their walk. "Understanding his movements and who he may have encountered is critical to this investigation," a police spokesperson stated.
Family Appeals and Public Concern
Key was reported missing to Devon and Cornwall Police on Saturday evening. The force has launched an urgent search operation, expressing "increasing concern" for his welfare. His partner, Assisi Jackson – the 33-year-old granddaughter of Rolling Stones legend Sir Mick Jagger – and their two young children are said to be deeply distressed.
Assisi's mother, jewellery designer Jade Jagger, amplified the police appeal by sharing images on her Instagram account. The post showed Key wearing a striking orange patterned jacket. Police describe him as 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with distinctive bright peroxide blonde hair, and note he often wears brightly coloured clothing.
Challenging Search Conditions
The search has been conducted in treacherous weather conditions. The Boscastle area was hit by Storm Ingrid on Friday and Saturday, followed by Storm Chandra earlier in the week. The picturesque coastal village, while popular with visitors for its dramatic harbour and cliff-top walks, can be particularly hazardous during winter months.
In the CCTV from Saturday, Key is seen still wearing the red shirt but now with a blue anorak or waterproof jacket and black trainers. The Cobweb Inn, where he was initially spotted, has also appealed for information, stating: "His family are so worried."
