Derbyshire Police have released a CCTV image of a man they are urgently seeking to identify as part of an ongoing investigation into an attempted rape in Derby city centre. The incident occurred at Bass’ Recreation Ground in Derby between 11.56pm on November 8 and 4am on November 9, 2025.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, who was wearing a cream-coloured t-shirt and either shorts or jogging bottoms at the time of the offence.

A police spokesperson stated: "We have released a picture of a man who was seen in the area around the time of the offence. We appreciate the picture is not the clearest, but we are hoping someone may be able to come forward with information about the man’s identity."
