Care Home Worker Imprisoned After Dark Web Child Abuse Revelations

A care home employee who bragged about raping and torturing a baby on the dark web has been sentenced to two years in prison. Adam Livings, a 31-year-old from Perth, used the online alias 'Daddy1605' to engage in graphic conversations about the sexual abuse of young children with a stranger known only as Cleo.

Vile Online Activity and Disturbing Password

Perth Sheriff Court heard that Livings boasted about sexually abusing a newborn infant and posted a photograph of the child online for other paedophiles to view. Police Scotland received information in May 2024 that a dark web account linked to his email address used the sickening password 'daddylove'. Fiscal depute Emma Farmer detailed how Livings indicated he had access to a three-year-old girl during his online exchanges.

Explicit Conversations and Indecent Image Collection

Livings admitted to keeping indecent images of children between October 2023 and May 2024, and to acting in a threatening or abusive manner in April 2024. He also confessed to engaging with Cleo via social media, sending sexually explicit messages and discussing "the sexual abuse, torture and rape of children". Analysis of his computer equipment revealed video files showing children aged two to four, naked and tied by their wrists to a bed, which had been sent to him by Cleo.

Court Hearing and Sentencing

Despite living with his partner and her four children, an investigation confirmed no concerns about his interaction with those children. Defence solicitor Mark Robins stated that Livings understood how "repugnant" his behaviour had been, attributing it to poor mental health and seeking thrill from taboo activities. Sheriff Alison McKay emphasised that custody was the only appropriate outcome, sentencing Livings to two years imprisonment and placing him on the sex offenders register for ten years.
