Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley experienced a parent's worst nightmare on Tuesday evening when her daughter was among passengers locked on a train at Stockport station following the discovery of a suspicious item. The 44-year-old television personality said she was 'going out of her mind' with worry for her 23-year-old daughter, Gabriella, who was caught up in the chaotic security incident.
Chaos Unfolds at Stockport Station
The emergency situation began just before 6pm on November 4 when police and a bomb disposal unit were called to Greek Street in Stockport following reports of a suspicious item. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they had dispatched two fire engines from Stockport and Whitehill fire stations, along with a technical rescue unit from Ashton fire station.
In an official statement, the fire service revealed: 'Firefighters were called to reports of a suspicious item on Greek Street in Stockport. Crews are currently at the scene where a suitcase has been left on the footbridge by Stockport railway station.'
A witness described the scene as chaotic, telling Manchester Evening News: 'I was told I had to evacuate Stockport bus interchange and it was chaos with people running. I was told had to leave immediately. There was approximately 50 of us running out of the interchange, followed by the police. There was lots of panic and hurry.'
Mother's Desperate Plea on Social Media
Tanya Bardsley took to her Instagram Story to share her distress and seek information about the unfolding situation. She wrote urgently: 'Does anyone know what's happening at Stockport train station? My daughter and all the passengers are locked on the train by police… I'm going out of my mind.'
The reality star's concern highlighted the human impact of the security alert, as passengers remained confined aboard trains while emergency services assessed the potential threat. The incident caused significant disruption to travel services throughout the evening.
Recent Personal Revelations from Tanya
Separate from the station incident, Tanya Bardsley has recently been open about her experiences with cosmetic procedures. The model revealed that during a recent operation, her surgeon removed 20-year-old filler that had become 'cement-like' in consistency.
She candidly told The Mirror: 'I started looking like a bulldog. I just thought "I'm not having this anymore, I feel terrible and I can't control it, but I can control these chops".' Rather than undergoing a full facelift as initially planned, her surgeon 'sewed muscles back to where they were,' creating natural cheekbones without additional filler.
Tanya shared that the surgeon 'was dragging out 20-year-old filler, scraping it out which was amazing.' She described the material as being 'like concrete' and expressed relief at being able to 'start again' with her appearance.
The mother-of-three also opened up about how perimenopause can affect individuals both emotionally and physically, noting that everything 'drops' including personality. While her facial procedure provided physical changes, she noted it also gave her mood a significant lift.
Daily Mail has contacted Tanya Bardsley's representative for further comment regarding the Stockport station incident.
