West Midlands Police have confirmed the discovery of a man's body inside a wheelie bin located in a park in Coventry. The grim find was made by a member of the public on Friday evening, sparking an immediate investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

Discovery in Cash's Park

The body was found in Cash's Park off Daimler Road at approximately 5pm on Friday. The unidentified man is believed to be aged between 40 and 50 years old. He was discovered inside a Coventry City Council wheelie bin, which notably had a green lid.

Authorities are currently working in collaboration with the council to determine the original location from which the bin was moved. This aspect of the investigation is crucial as it may provide vital clues about the sequence of events leading to the man's death.

Detective Chief Inspector Phil Poole of West Midlands Police stated that while the investigation remains open-minded, the primary hypothesis is that the man was struck by a vehicle before being relocated to the park.
