Police have launched a comprehensive investigation following an alleged firebombing attack on Kenton United Synagogue in Harrow, northwest London, on Saturday night. This disturbing incident represents the latest in a series of arson or attempted arson attacks targeting Jewish properties across the capital over the past month.
Minor Damage Reported at Historic Place of Worship
The Community Security Trust (CST), which monitors antisemitism and provides protection for Jewish communities throughout the United Kingdom, confirmed the attack caused minor smoke damage to an internal room of the synagogue. Fortunately, no injuries were reported and there was no significant structural damage to the building, which stands in close proximity to a school and children's playground.
Police Response and Forensic Investigation
Law enforcement authorities established a substantial cordon around the scene as forensic officers, fire investigation dogs, and multiple plainclothes officers conducted their examination.
